ERIC MURPHY UPDATE FEBRUARY 2024 COSTA RICA MISSION TRIP: Stephanie and I were in Costa Rica last month where we connected with our ministry partner, Daniel Rojas at his Children’s Home. Daniel has been rescuing young children from sex slave traffic. They are seeing great results with these young children who are now in a safe environment where they can experience true love. After building trust, they accept God’s love through the free gift of salvation. This is precious to see! Please pray for their staff who minister to these kids 24/7. We took essential clothing with us to give to the 43 boys and girls. Thank you for those who helped provide these items. Future plans for Costa Rica? We are planning our next youth camp here in January 2025. We are shooting for 200 campers! We also plan to speak in churches to do evangelism and build relationships with pastors and church leaders. CARIBBEAN MINISTRY: Ministry partner Dave Kelly asked me to join him on a trip to St. Maarten and Anguilla next month. Dave’s ministry is growing by leaps and bounds and he has asked me to come to speak and encourage the pastors and youth leaders on both islands. March 7-11, 2024. $2,480 is needed for my plane ticket, meals, housing, ferry boat ticket to/from Anguilla and visa for Anguilla. Address information for donations can be found below at the end of this update. Thanks for helping and praying. MONTENEGRO UPDATE: Pray for LIFE Montenegro Director, Jim Compton. and Camp Monty Director, Danijel Petkovski, as they strategize for Camp Monty 2024 [July 18-28] and other evangelistic opportunities. On a sad note, Audrey Sharpe [family name], age 26, passed because of an infection that the doctors could not find or control. Audrey served multiple times at Camp Monty in the past along with her father and mother, Tim and Heidi, and her brother, Jake. She built relationships with many young Montenegrins. Please pray for the family as she leaves behind her husband, Josh, and two precious children, 3 years and 6 months old. Audrey’s memory will remain alive with many young adults in Montenegro. May God use this to bring about good in those whom God used Audrey to be a blessing in their lives. We plan to honor Audrey’s life and service in Montenegro by establishing the Audrey Sharpe Memorial Fund to help us reach more Montenegrins and to train them to reach their own generation for Christ. A dear friend, Dragan Marojevic, a former Olympic Soccer star for old Yugoslavia and Montenegro, passed this week from an unexpected heart attack. When we started Camp Monty in 2007 Dragan opened his soccer field to help us connect with young athletes. Please pray for his wife, sons, daughter and grandsons as they grieve their loss. In conclusion, thank you for your friendship. Our relationship is very important and I thank God for you. Thank you for your prayers and your financial support. You are a valuable member of the team. Again, thank you so much!
