--How is Eric doing? --What is Eric doing? HOW IS ERIC DOING? Probably this question has crossed your mind more than once since Lynne went to be with the Lord on December 5, 2013. Here’s your answer—Eric is doing just fine. God has been faithfully meeting my needs … encouraging me … giving me strength. Only God knows how many people have been praying. All of these prayers have been answered in a mighty way. Thank you for praying. Yes, Lynne is greatly missed … no doubt about it. There have been a couple of waves of grief, but, my habit is to take it to the Lord in prayer just as David showed in the Book of Psalms. He concluded by giving praise to God after pouring out his problems. What a great example! Furthermore, after watching Lynne suffering so badly I thank God for taking her home. Her last year or two of life was a tough, horrible experience. No more pain! No more suffering! She is happy in the presence of God and with many loved ones who have passed on before her. What an incredible experience for dear Lynne. How is Eric doing? Great! Better yet, how is Lynne doing? Much better than Eric! WHAT IS ERIC DOING? Next on the agenda is the opportunity to speak at a teenager youth camp in Costa Rica. Pray that God will bless the preaching of His Word. Eight times to speak is on the schedule … I am so excited. Plus, God willing, I will be speaking in one or two Costa Rican churches one of which was started by dear friend, Eddy Vidaechea. Pray for Eddy and Silvia, his wife, as they struggle with devastating health issues. God is using both of them despite all of the suffering that they endure. This summer I plan to be involved with Camp Monty in Montenegro as well as Camp MIA in Romania. Plans call for me to be at the first two weeks in Romania, starting in late June, then, two weeks in Montenegro before returning to Romania for the final two weeks of camp there. So, there are at least three groups planning to be involved with Camp Monty and I will go to these churches to speak and to lead training sessions. One will be in the North County section of San Diego County in California and the other two in New Jersey. Recently, I met with two groups in West Virginia who are planning to serve at Camp MIA in Romania this summer during the final two weeks of the camp season. Behind the scenes meetings and training now will produce much fruit during the summer camp ministry. Mentoring … I love to meet with young men who have a heart for God. Three such meetings with three men in their early 40s seemed to be encouraging for each of these men. They have so much potential. Pray for some future conversations with three other men who want to serve with us in our mission. We shall see what God has in mind for each of these men. Another prayer request is for at least one more team to come together to help us in the youth camp in Romania this summer. At least four or five people are needed, eight to ten is even better, to teach conversational English, do sports training and spend time with the campers. Could you organize a team? Seriously, would you be interested? Contact me at 321 663 5710 or email me at one of the email addresses below at the bottom of the page. It will be a life changing experience!
